Teacher of the Year award from Lenox Hill Hospital

Thank you Lenox Hill Hospital OB/GYN Department for giving me the Teacher of the Year award. This award is not only reflective of my own work, but more importantly, the extremely hard work of all my residents. And a huge congratulations to my residents Anna Barbi, Shay Erisson, Lora Liu, and Theresa Linsner, on graduating last week!

About

Lenox Hill Hospital is renowned for its exceptional obstetrical service, with approximately 4,500 deliveries per year in the Florence Selwyn Klopfer Family-Centered Maternity Care Unit. The facility consists of 12 modern LDR's (labor, delivery, and recovery rooms), three mother/baby units (the location for a patient’s stay after her birth), a well baby nursery and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Lenox Hill Hospital recognizes that each family, pregnancy and birth is truly unique and therefore all staff work with families in flexible and collaborative ways to create an individual experience.

Maternity patients whose pregnancies require special attention also benefit from the 24/7 prenatal services available at the Center for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, a Center of Excellence for the hospital and one of the most comprehensive centers of its kind in New York City.

During this time, I was preparing all my documents to send to Dr. Seckin to review. However, with this new information I put everything on hold and went to a urologist. After a few months, no one could figure…

I came to Dr. Seckin having already had laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis 5 years prior, with a different surgeon. My symptoms and pain had returned, making my life truly challenging and my menstrual cycle unbearable. Dr. Seckin was quick to validate my…

He quickly ascertained what needed to be done, laid out the options along with his recommendation and gave me the time to make the right decision for me. My surgery went without a hitch and I'm healing very well. He and…
