My journey may be difficult but everything that I have gone through has made me stronger

Dr. Seckin and staff,

It’s taken me a while to write this letter but I wanted to write it at the adequate time, with the most sincerity and love in my heart. Dr. Seckin, I want to thank you for being there for me, and for caring about me and my condition. After being diagnosed at age 12, I felt so lost and scared, like no one could help me or even come close to understanding me. When I was about 14, I started doing my own research and I found out about Dr. Tamer Seckin. I found out about all the marvels he’s done to help women with my condition, and since then he has become my hero. At that age, I figured out exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up, a gynecological surgeon just like Dr. Seckin. And till this day I still want to be like him: warm and caring, and helping as many women as I can. When I met Dr. Seckin at age 20, it was one of the best moments of my life. It was like meeting the president, a humongous honor. His love and compassion towards me and my disease gave me hope. Before I met him, I had 5 surgeries and felt like I could trust no doctor in the world. But he changed all that. Thank you Dr. Seckin because you became like a father to me since the moment I met you. You showed me that endometriosis may be tough but I am tougher. Dr. Seckin you are an inspiration to me and I know to many women out there.

Being 22 now, I will never forget that the only doctor whomever cared about my story is you. Please continue your work we need you to keep going, and hopefully one day I will be on that team of doctors helping to find the best solution for women with endometriosis everywhere. I also want to say thank you to your staff. They are some of the most beautiful women inside and out that I have ever met in my life. They all have true compassion and love in their hearts. Most importantly they actually cared about me. No one has ever cared like that about me. Thank you, ladies. You all have been a blessing to my life. Dr. Seckin you and your staff are like angels from God. You came at the right time when I needed the most love and care. Thanks to you all I am tougher and stronger than I was before. God bless you all today and always and may your work continue to help every woman find her inner warrior.
