Endometriosis Foundation of America
The Endometriosis Foundation of America is a nonprofit organization co-founded by Dr. Tamer Seckin and Padma Lakshmi. It focuses on fighting against the devastating effects of a disease that affects millions of women and adolescent girls. Through increased awareness, education, research and legislative advocacy, the EFA is committed to improving affected individuals' lives by early detection and treatment. The EFA’s mission further addresses societal prejudices and misinformation about Endometriosis in the medical community. Through combining research and education, the Foundation is here to help the women who suffer from this disease while actively working to find a permanent cure.
